As a global leader in the removals sector, it is essential for AGS to keep abreast of industry trends and networks.  AGS therefore annually commits a team of delegates to a schedule of international tradeshows, ensuring that a cutting-edge in service levels is maintained.

Normally in excess of ten members, AGS’ team is led by Executive Board member Joëlle Castro and Vice President of Operations Ido Barner. Core delegates include senior AGS network managers and regional representatives, including from France, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, the Philippines, China and India.

Gold Sponsorship of IAM

The AGS team’s presence at the International Association of Mover’s (IAM) 52nd Annual meeting in Orlando this year, from October 7 to 10, will be bolstered as AGS takes the spotlight as a Gold Sponsor for the event for the second time since 2013.

This sponsorship has secured AGS a prime triple-booth space – Booth #809, under the name ‘AGS Movers Angola’ but representing AGS worldwide – in the IAM Meeting’s Exhibit Hall. This will act as a focal meeting point between AGS’ representatives and business partners within the United States and globally.

“AGS’ participation in the 2013 IAM event was a huge success, as in addition to meeting with our regular partners there were also over 2 000 attendees – some of whom had their first interaction with the AGS Group,” explains Tony Waugh, AGS’ Director of Partner Relations for the United States.

Other Trade Shows

Another international 2014 conference at which AGS will be participating is Worldwide ERC’s Global Workforce Symposium – from October 8 to 10 in Chicago – showcasing AGS’ integrated suite of removal services to partners in the global mobility sector.

Preparations are also well underway for the next FIDI Conference to be hosted in Cape Town, South Africa, from March 29 to April 1 in 2015.

AGS Manila

AGS Movers Manila recently benefited from wind power in the Philippines when sponsoring a Hobie Cat (sail number 112 317) competing in the 1st Annual Tanauan Sailing Festival – organized by the Taal Lake Yacht Club – on Taal Lake.

AGS Singapore

AGS Movers Singapore recently sponsored the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore’s (FCCS) Pétanque Tournament 2014, hosted at Singapore’s Mana Mana Beach Club. Pétanque is a boules-type game dating back to 1907.

FIDI Conference

FIDI – the International Federation of International Movers – hosted their 63rd Annual Conference in Singapore from March 30 to April 2, and a vibrant team of AGS network managers and directors networked with the hundreds of industry delegates present.

Mr GoodMove, the AGS ambassador of quality, is constantly monitoring all the branches in the AGS group, to ensure top quality customer service is provided whatever the circumstances. In the removals industry, we must deal with many situations outside of our control.

Our Quality Ambassador is on hand when customers need extra support or reassurance, and works with the AGS branch and client for issue resolution and a positive outcome. Mr GoodMove makes sure clients are continually kept updated until complete satisfaction is reached. AGS branches are then evaluated not just for perfect service, but for how the matter was dealt with.

AGS would particularly like to highlight the following branches as being exemplary in their customer service provision in 2011: AGS Movers Codem Yaoundé, AGS Movers Cameroon, AGS Movers Rwanda, AGS Movers Beijing & Shanghai, AGS Movers Chennai, AGS Movers Philippines, AGS Movers Slovakia, and our Brest, Lorraine – Luxembourg, Poitiers, Strasbourg-Alsace, Tarbes and Troyes branches in France.

Mr GoodMove was implemented in 2009 to help branches measure and further improve their customer service levels and quality performance.  We have seen a marked increase in the satisfaction expressed by our customers since this additional customer service initiative was put in place.

The ITGBL approval means that both have been endorsed by the US Department of State to ship personal and household effects on behalf of its diplomatic staff.

AGS Coussaert in Belgium and AGS Movers Manila bring the Group’s total count to 59 ITGBL-approved branches in over 67 destinations globally.

The ITGBL programme was first introduced by the US Government in 1992 when international freight forwarders were given the go-ahead to ship  government personnel’s goods.

In order to achieve approval, removal companies must adhere to strict requirements relating to service performance, transit times, the timely provision of reports, cost of services and communication.

This lawww achievement confirms that AGS is constantly developing and striving towards service excellence and complying with the stringent standards needed to achieve ITGBL approval.

Well done to AGS Coussaert and AGS Movers Manila who are proving to be beacons for AGS in their pursuit of service excellence.

Chris Ward and his team in the Philippines were congratulated on passing the audit with no factual findings.

FAIM is the International Federation of International Movers’ (FIDI) quality standard, which was first introduced in 1996. It is unique to the international removals industry. This accreditation proves that a company conforms to the highest quality standards when providing removal services.

FIDI is the most prestigious association of international moving specialists. Each member is selected according to strict criteria, thus guaranteeing the quality of services rendered and the financial stability of members.

AGS Movers Manila’s accreditation has been renewed for two years, after the branch was audited against strict compliance procedures.

FAIM audits are conducted by an independent auditor, Ernst & Young, and measured against 16 parameters across four categories, namely:

2.    Business Compliance
3.    Service
4.    Quality and environment
